Lipova, tradition of 700 years.

The history of Lipova begins in 1314, when it was for first attested historically.

It is located on both banks of the Mures river, at the foot of the Zarandului Mountains, in their contact area with Lipova Hills, 34 km away from the city of Arad.

The soil on the Lipova hills was always favorable for fruit cultivation, so that the Minis - Maderat vineyard, belonging to Lipova, is among the oldest in Romania. The first historical attestations of these vineyards date from 1212 and the wine from the Minis area is currently internationally recognized.

The climatic conditions are favorable for fruit cultivation. Apples, plums and peaches harvested here have a special taste, authentic due to the hilly relief and the southern sun.
